Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent or

* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or

* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD

Required Skills

* 5+ years of broad software development experience, including front-end and back-end technologies (C/C++/Java).

* 2+ years of experience working at an architect level in a networking, cloud, or distributed computing environment.

* 2+ years of experience working with Internet protocols and Web technologies (IP, TCP, HTTP, DNS, TLS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Images).

Desired Skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Understanding of system-level issues with deploying cloud-based systems.

* Demonstrated ability to understand large software systems.

* Experience in the processes developers follow when building high-performance web sites.

* Proficient in python, bash, perl or similar scripting language.

* Development experience with large, high-performance, multi-threaded distributed servers.

* Driven to understand, learn, and evaluate new technologies.

* Team-player, can-do, positive attitude.

* Demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate and exert influence across geographic boundaries.
