Senior Software Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of hands on managing support and operations of a large infrastructure server farm in a datacenter environment managing systems, network, and storage systems.
• 8+ years of software development experience in linux/unix systems.
• Proven track record with a minimum of 5+ years in providing support to managed services
• 8+ years of strong hands on background in data centers, networking, virtualization and service management.
• 3+ years of experience with big data infrastructure like Cassandra, CouchDB architecture and scaling those infrastructures.
• Experience in infrastructure capacity planning based on key attributes Flexible, continuous learner, excellent communicator, works well in team environment, appreciates challenge, comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving.

Desired Qualifications 

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with distributed NoSQL technologies, like BigCouch or Cassandra
• Experience with architecture of large, distributed and complex systems
• Experience with the complete software development life cycle, from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Deep understanding of scaling out and horizontal scaling infrastructure architectures.
