Architect - Information Security

Required Education and Experience 

Applicants must have one of the following

* 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or;

* 6 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or;

* 3 years of experience and a PhD in Computer Science or related field

* Must have deep knowledge/experience encompassing at least one of the following, and aptitude in the other two: (1) Designing or analyzing applications and/or systems; (2) Identifying, explaining, and guiding solutions for application and system security risks; and (3) translating compliance requirements to business requirements, identifying non-compliant solutions, and guiding remediation

* Ability to communicate technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences through both speech and prose

* Excellent technical aptitude and a desire to learn constantly

Desired Skills

* A strong work ethic and a positive attitude

* Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively verbally and in writing to technical and business audiences

* Excellent technical aptitude and a desire to learn constantly

* Experience with security standards and frameworks including one or more of the following: PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST/DoD frameworks

* Some knowledge of systems thinking and systems analysis techniques such as Systems-Theoretic Accident Modeling and Processes (STAMP)

* Experience in at least two programming languages, including a scripting language, and a functional language. Exposure to a wide range of language types (e.g., scripting, Unix-like, procedural, functional, high-level) is especially helpful.

* Solid understanding of and interest in internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS
