Associate Data Scientist

Basic Qualifications

* MS degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering

* 1+ years of relevant analyst or scientific research experience

* 1+ years’ experience with SQL, R, statistical analyses and machine learning algorithms

Desired Qualifications

* Ph.D. in discipline with major in Cognitive or Social Psychology, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Operations Research.

* Has the initiative to chase down and evaluate new data sources and analytical solutions relevant to solving business problems.

Independent and critical thinker, with the ability to work directly with diverse business groups.

* Strong problem solving skills when faced with disparate data sets.

* Experience with extracting and parsing unstructured data (e.g., XML, JSON).

* Knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

* Experience and success in working with cross-functional teams (especially sales, services, marketing, finance, and customer support).

* Strong oral communication skills and ability to present analytical results to a non-technical audience.

* Experience in the high-tech industry.

* Experience communicating insights from complex data to non-technical audiences
