Our Technical Support Organization is responsible for the end-to-end resolution of complex technical issues for our global customers. Working collaboratively and often leading cross-functional teams, we deliver world class support to customers including Fortune 500 companies and Government Agencies. As internet experts, we share knowledge and use feedback to improve Akamai's products and services.

Partner with the best

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer, known internally as Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be providing support for Akamai’s Performance and Media services, to customers globally. Largely a technical support role, you may also assume some technical account manager tasks. You will become an expert in your field and collaborate with support teams globally. This is B2B support provided over email/phone.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working as a trusted support partner to resolve customer questions and issues
  • Leading technical investigations across Akamai's Distributed Network
  • Owning the problem resolution and collaborating with internal teams
  • Providing proactive technical support by analyzing existing technical issues across Akamai's Distributed Networks and proposing solutions to prevent issues recurring
  • Using knowledge and experience to improve internal tools and developing into a Subject Matter Expert

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor degree in computer science/Engineering or relevant engineering/science fields or relevant work experience
  • Have experience providing technical solutions & support to B2B customers
  • Have good knowledge of common network protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS and relevant troubleshooting tools
  • Have experience with Linux and/or Unix along with basic skills with programming languages such as Python or shell scripting
  • Have experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Be fluent in English, Spanish and another European language such as French, Italian or German
