Content Strategy Director

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or
* 10 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 7 years of relevant experience and a PhD

Required Skills
* 10+ years of experience in technical writing or editing
* 7+ years of leadership experience including recruiting, supervising, mentoring and managing the performance of team members
* 5+ years of implementation experience with content management systems (CMS) and associated roles and workflows
* 3+ years of experience with task-based writing and single-sourcing methodology (DITA/XML)
* 3+ years of experience enabling a developer audience with API documentation and workflow support

Desired Skills
* Experience working as part of a cross-functional user experience team (e.g. designers, writers, researchers)
* Experience with a wide variety of organizations: enterprise, consumer products, large and small
* Strong experience developing editorial style, style guides and standards
* Experience driving sustainable culture change in a large, matrixed organization
* Ability to drive innovation for content management
* Deep expertise in user-centered methodology with a proven track record of successful product or service launches
