DevOps Software Engineer

Required Education and Experience:
* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or
* Relevant experience and a Masters degree or PhD

Required Skills
* 2+ years of development experience in Java, Python/ Django.
* 2+ years of strong product support experience.
* 2+ years experience in development and testing of REST based API interfaces.
* 2+ years experience working on Linux/Unix.
* 2+ years experience with RDBMS / SQL experience (preferably Oracle).

Desired Skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Experience with debugging microservices applications.
* Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services.
* Hands on experience in using monitoring tools such as Grafana, Graphite, Datadog, Telegraf.
* Experience in understanding of product usability.
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Stash.
* Out-of-the-box thinker willing to challenge conventional approaches and build consensus around innovative solutions.
* Continuous learner, excellent communicator, works well in team environment, appreciates challenge, comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving.
* DevOps experience on Azure or AWS.
* Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef or equivalent.
* Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins / Bamboo or equivalent.
