About the Job


Akamai is looking for a data-driven and results-oriented Director of APJ Media Field Marketing.  This regional marketing leader will report to the VP of Global Media & Carrier Field Marketing and Customer Marketing and will have responsibility for Media field marketing in the APJ region.  This person will work with his/her team to drive demand, nurture leads and accelerate adoption of Akamai products and solutions from Media customers.  This position will work very closely with regional Sales leaders, Product and Industry Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to create and execute marketing programs and just as important, track and report on the ROI of each program.



Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with regional Sales leaders to plan, execute and track marketing plans that will meet and/or exceed quarterly pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute account-based marketing programs to expand Akamai’s footprint within targeted Media customer accounts.
  • Create and execute thought leadership programs aimed to develop relationships between Akamai and customer executives.
  • Plan and execute Akamai-branded events and third-party industry tradeshows while meeting ROI targets.
  • Use available marketing technology tools to create pipeline reporting, analyze program ROI, and continuously track business impact of the marketing plan.
  • Lead, recruit, motivate, and mentor a team of data-driven, next-gen marketers to support Akamai’s Media business.

Qualifications


  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent.
  • Possess minimum of 15 years’ work experience leading successful field marketing teams in a high-growth, innovative environment, with an emphasis on web, cloud and digital technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of campaign strategy and marketing channels.
  • Ability to extract meaning from data and optimize programs based on insights.
  • Established track record in revenue-focused marketing, driving funnel conversions, and delivering results.
  • Previous experience building teams to focus on success metrics.
  • Outstanding project management skills and the proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel.
  • Experience with marketing/sales automation tools, including Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field.
