The Application Security Team is the largest revenue contributor to Akamai's $1B security business. Focusing on solutions that solve complex security problems like denial of service, exploitation of software vulnerabilities in Apps and APIs, credential abuse and account takeover. In this role, you will lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for App & API Protection. Driving sustained growth in key investment areas and the brands that empower billions of people online every day. Collaborating on a global scale, providing leadership and executing new initiatives to ensure Akamai remains a cybersecurity powerhouse.

As Director of Product Management, Go-To-Market, Application Security, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the portfolio's go-to-market strategy, collaborating with product and marketing leaders in driving growth and retention.
• Championing the portfolio internally and externally while collaborating with channel partners to drive growth.
• Partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization to measure sales performance and drive recommendations for growth.
• Working with finance and analytics teams to define and track metrics that foster data-driven decisions.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and executives on mergers and acquisitions relevant to the security business

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, another related field or its equivalent.
• Have experience with the technologies and trends of the modern web, cloud and cloud native environments
• Have a track record of growing revenue for mature product lines through direct and indirect channels.
• Be a data-driven decision maker with ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations
• Enjoy leading teams but be able to roll up sleeves to understand financial details and guide execution
• Be results oriented with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives and set deliverable goals

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $173,500 - $360,500/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
