Engineering Manager

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience    

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:    

* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or    

* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or    

* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD   

Required Skills  

4+ years of project management experience with web application development 

4+ years working in Agile and rapid release cycle environments 

4+ years experience working in source code management environment (perforce, Git, etc) 

2+ years of experience with transitioning new products to mature offerings

Desired Skills

* Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly to a split geographic team, both situated on the East Coast 

* Web application concepts and fundamentals (Rails, Apache/Nginx, Puma/Passenger/Thin) 

* Linux/Unix familiarity 

* Solid knowledge of software development life cycles 

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
