This team is a data-driven team responsible for designing and executing marketing programs that drive new revenue. Our team uses cutting-edge marketing tools and data insights to build pipeline. The Japan Marketing team is an enthusiastic group focused on driving revenue growth, accelerating adoption of Akamai products and solutions from existing customers, and driving demand from new customers.

Akamai is looking for a great communicator who is comfortable in collaboration with cross-functional teams across a dynamic and diverse culture. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and enhance your ability to work in a multinational environment by being one of the primary points of contact between Japan, APJ and US HQ.

As a Field Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Improving key marketing performance metrics by supporting planning and executing marketing programs including third party trade shows, events, and webinars
• Defining campaigns and target audience, build segmentation lists, draft campaign messages, deploy via marketing automation tools & channels, measure and report campaign performance metrics
• Assisting in the day-to-day implementation of marketing campaigns to be deployed supporting the execution of other marketing activities

• Possess fluent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese, with business level English for written communication
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a Self-motivated, fast-learning team player who can work proactively on tasks
• Have a keen interest in and experience with interpreting and extracting meaningful insight from data
• Possess, or have a keen interest in Cloud Computing and Security
• Be curious to learn B2B marketing, automation and analytics tools to help improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency
• Have experience using SFDC, Marketo, Jira, and Excel (with proficiency in pivot tables) to manage and analyze data effectively
