Due to our tremendous growth we are looking for driven, smart and experienced sales executives who can foster and develop existing client relationships and usage as well as the ability to drive new customer acquisitions to join our fun and fast paced team. Akamai’s Inside Sales Representative, Existing Accounts is responsible for the sales cycle - from lead generation, renewals to deal closures by creating the demand within their region across all business verticals and assigned accounts. We are looking for someone who is excited with the opportunity to travel and meet with customers at events and within territory. 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

*  The strategic objective of maximizing customer satisfaction and increasing revenue generation by selling into the whitespace within their assigned territory.

*  Developing a strategic sales plan to: 

    1.) Prioritize growth vs. nurture accounts (where you spend your time)

    2.) Identify new ways to deliver even more value (QBRs, educating, insights, alerts, events)

    3.) Uncover new opportunities for Akamai to support our customers’ evolving business initiatives (up-sell/cross-sell, revenue growth)

*  Articulating Akamai’s value proposition to technical and business stakeholders across all levels

*  Work within integrated partnerships with sales engineers and specialist resources to ensure consultative engagements with customers

*  Outreaching to current relationship stakeholders and prospecting to new parts of the business 

*  Utilizing marketing resources to create and manage new sales opportunities

*  Managing daily administrative tasks like recording activities in CRM, or resolving billing questions or helping customers open support tickets, etc.

*  Negotiate contracts or renewals that maximize customer usage and satisfaction

The Inside Sales Representative, Existing Accounts will be part of the Inside Sales Organization reporting into the Inside Sales Manager. 

Required Education and Experience:

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: 

*  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 

Required Skills:

*  2+ years of experience in a direct sales closing role, customer success role, or similar customer-facing role 

*  2+ years of experience working in the high tech or software industry 

Desired Skills 

*  Outstanding organizational skills with the attested ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines

*  Relationship, value-based & relationship development selling skills

*  Renewals: 

    1.)  Assisting internal teams to create and deliver product renewal quotations to existing customers 

    2.)  Monitoring the progress of renewal quotations to ensure customer expectations for delivery are met

    3.)  Communicating renewal order status to customers on a timely basis

    4.)  Participate in account planning and execution to achieve renewal targets

*  Identify new product, service and cross-selling opportunities 

*  Proven track record in exceeding annual quotas or equivalent KPIs 

*  Strong knowledge of Internet or cloud technologies or cybersecurity concepts

*  Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and business stakeholders
