You will help develop big data and observability applications, databases and services with high reliability and massive scale on top of Akamai's platforms. Collaborating with teams across the business, you will support multiple products and help deliver the design of customer solutions.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

Salary: 45 PLN gross/h

You'll participate in the software development life cycle and monitoring the software performance, reliability and troubleshooting.

As a Software Engineer DevOps Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication, code development and software configuration
• Contributing to internal research processes, methodologies, and approaches to create and share best practices
• Testing solutions and monitoring software stability within the Akamai systems
• Diagnosing system performance and reliability together with the team
• Preparing and helping execute reconfiguration and plan deployments for the products
• Learning about our distributed systems, products, and technical stack necessary for your role

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a student/graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or another related field
• Show experience with GNU/Linux or Unix environment
• Demonstrate you are familiar with Bash and Python or other scripting languages
• Know fundamentals of Web technologies
• Show understanding of networking protocols (such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL)
• Be able to write tests for developed functionalities

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month intern program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).

This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more details when you apply.
