Basic Qualifications
- Experience in system/solution sales within security, web performance or ICT industry.
- Ideal candidates will bring with them a range of Internet industry-related contacts.
- Strong background in Internet infrastructure and/or enterprise solution software required.
- Experience working with key Systems Integrators and/or internet-based partners.
- Demonstrable and proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota.
- Must have strong knowledge of Internet and telecommunications concepts and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.
- Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with key decision makers.
- Formal sales training a must: Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling training preferred.
- Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to be part of a world-class sales and support organization.
- BA/BSc Degree or higher.

- Ability to sell IT/infrastructure solution offering as "services" (cloud based).
- Ability to turn solutions and Akamai offerings into the proper Industry/customer value proposition (Know your customer, know customer’s strategic intent ...).
- Proven experience/knowledge/understanding of the Enterprise (from eCommerce, Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc to IT).
- Appreciation of Investment appraisals such as Discounted Cash Flows, Budget Sign-off, Cost-Benefit Analysis from a customer perspective.
