Akamai's Media Division work with the world's leading Media and Gaming companies to help make the internet work. Our team strengthens customer loyalty through helping our customers maximize their product value. We support customers across over-the-top (OTT), Streaming, Gaming, High-Tech industries, and support their optimization requirements through Akamai's global platform.

Work with some of our Largest and Most Strategic Accounts

As a Major Account Executive (Existing accounts), you will create and maximize revenue generation within our most important technology customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and new markets. You will grow and strengthen relationships at all levels through the proposition of Akamai high value solutions.

As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary, trusted point of contact to key stakeholder through building relationships for customer success
  • Collaborating with the business to review and ensure business growth, Go to Market strategy delivery and client engagement
  • Partnering with sales engineers, internal support resources and channel partners to ensure consultative engagement with prospects
  • Ensuring success through best practice guidance and through developing a long-term customer strategy across our product ecosystem
  • Communicating effectively with all levels of prospective buyers and internal teams to enable successful delivery to our customers
  • Recording customer development activities within a CRM to ensure operational excellence

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 5 years of IT sales experience and a Bachelor's degree.
  • Have experience selling enterprise-class technology IT solutions, such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Security, internet-based technology solutions to enterprise-class companies
  • Have demonstrated experience selling into strategic accounts.
