Due to our ambitious growth objective, we are looking for a driven, smart and experienced sales executive who can drive new customer acquisitions as well as foster existing client relationships in multiple vertical to join our fun and fast paced team. Our sales organization offers the unique culture of a “startup” feel with the actual security of proven success. Akamai’s Major Account Executive is responsible for the sales cycle - from lead generation, renewals to deal closures by creating the demand within the assigned territory in the UK&I and the Nordics

Required Skills:
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

  • Relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or
Desired Skills:
  • Proven Track Record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quotas through direct field sales selling into/for major UK Carriers/Nordic Carriers
  • High ethics, integrity, and personal drive.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet, telecommunications and cyber security concepts and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.
  • Formal sales training and understanding of Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling training or other metrologies.
  • Ideal candidates will bring with them a range of Internet industry-related contacts.
  • Strong background in Internet infrastructure and/or enterprise solution software required.
  • Experience selling within the security or networking sector
