Required Education and Experience
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree  in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field or 
* 3 years of relevant experience in a related field and a PhD

Required Skills
* 5+ yrs Experience leading a team of engineers or other technical staff 
* 2+ yrs Experience in supporting business goals and functioning as part of a high-performance cross-discipline team

Desired Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively verbally and in writing to technical and business audiences
* Ability to facilitate conversations and understanding among team members who may have different ideas about solving problems
* Excellent technical aptitude and a desire to learn constantly
* A drive to improve the culture and tone of discourse in difficult and complex problem solving
* Some knowledge of systems thinking and systems analysis techniques such as Systems-Theoretic Accident Modeling and Processes (STAMP)
* Experience with security standards and frameworks including one or more of the following: PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST/DoD frameworks
* Familiarity with security technologies, processes, and concepts such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, TLS, Authentication and Authorization, vulnerability investigation
* Experience in at least two programming languages, including a scripting language, and a functional language. Exposure to a wide range of language types (e.g., scripting, Unix-like, procedural, functional, high-level) is especially helpful.
* Solid understanding of and interest in internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS
