Network Field Technician / Santa Fe, Mexico

Basic Qualifications
• The candidate needs to have the ability to lift 50 pounds and the ability to un-box and move equipment for several contiguous hours / days.
• Must have reliable transportation. The job requires movement between locations that may not have access to public transportation.
• Must have a laptop, cell phone, driver's license, and a basic set of hand tools (Testing tools, Light meter, cleaning wands. etc.)
• Expected to travel between data center site locations for service and installation activities.
• Handling of network cabling, storage and server equipment, Rack-and-stack installation, cabling, labeling, asset reporting.
• Work with Ticketing service request systems
• Daytime (8 am - 5 pm, M-F) availability is required
• Night and weekend work may also be required at some points

Desired Qualifications
• Experience working in a data center.
• Experience working with server hardware.
• Experience with networking equipment and cross-connects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Goal-oriented attitude to work through roadblocks, attend to details, and bring about project closure.
• The ability to work in an energetic and dynamic environment, with openness to the demands and rewards of building and maintaining a worldwide network (non 9-5 M-F work may be required).
• Applicants should be hard working, reliable, have a willingness to be micro managed, but still be able to think and work independently.
