Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following
education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
Required Skills
- Outside Security Sales/Channel Sales experience, preferably in support of National System Integrators, consulting firms, or Cloud Service Providers.
- Successful Channel Sales experience in the high tech field.
- Ability to travel 30-50%.
Desired Skills
- Ability to successfully recruit new partnerships based on Akamai’s partner value proposition.
- Build business plans which drive new routes to market.
- Strong negotiation, solution-selling and presentation skills.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of how Akamai’s technology, coupled with third-party technologies, is leveraged to solve application delivery, security and performance challenges.
- Specialised knowledge of managed services, business application networking environments, data networking security and performance based solutions.
- Successful sales track record and quota achievement in both direct and indirect sales roles.
- Highly motivated Self-starter.
- High focus on quality and discipline in every aspect of the job.
