Platform Operations Engineer

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or

* Relevant experience and a Master’s degree or PhD or

* Relevant Professional Experience

Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years experience working in Linux/Unix environment

* 2+ years experience working with at least one of the following: Perl, Python, shell

* Working knowledge of SQL

Desired Qualifications

* Strong written and verbal communication

* Ability to be self-directed in project work

* Proven success working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment

* Strong desire to learn and increase knowledge set

* Strong analytical skills, ability to extract and analyze data, diagnose root causes and implement practical solutions

* Experience with database systems such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL a big plus

* Experience interacting with Rest APIs

* Basic understanding of Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, DNS
