Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
- 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent or
- 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or another related field.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer facing environment such as Professional Services, Support, Sales Engineering or Technical Account Management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and web servers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in management/leadership role.
- Experience leading project teams or working groups
- Willing to travel 10 – 20%
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience managing teams of 8-10 people.
- IT solution delivery experience, preferably within a consulting organization.
- Experience with running and analyzing metrics and forecast data
- Successful leadership on short term, 1 – 3 month projects
- Experience in mentoring new hires and experienced staff members
- Experience with UNIX and one or more web development languages, methodologies, and/or architectures – HTTP, DNS, Perl, PHP, Shell Scripting, J2EE, .NET, C#, JSP, ASP, Tomcat, Apache
- Experience with TCP/IP network debugging with TCP dump or similar.
- Working knowledge of the full software development life.
