Principal Oracle Database Architect
Basic Qualifications
* 10+ years’ Oracle experience, with expertise on how to build highly
available transactional systems (4-9s), and advanced knowledge of Oracle
troubleshooting and performance tuning for PL/SQL and the database itself.
* 3-5+ years’ Oracle DBA
experience.
* 10+ years’ data modelling and
database design experience, including advanced knowledge of how to ensure high
performance and availability while mitigating concurrency conflicts.
* 5+ years’ outstanding verbal
and written communication skills, including experience working with culturally
diverse and geographically distributed teams. Must be able to communicate
effectively with Program Management, InfoSec, Engineering, QA, and Operations
personnel at all levels.
* 5+ years in a leadership role
for large-scale transactional databases
* A BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
* An understanding of cloud database solutions (e.g. AWS), and
experience migrating database solutions to the Cloud
* Exposure to open source
Relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and NoSQL solutions like
Cassandra or MongoDb.
* Exposure to configuration management
tools like Puppet and Chef, or other scripting languages used to automate
administrative tasks
