Partner with the best
As a Principal Product Manager, you'll shape the foundation of Akamai's next-generation Government products. You'll define security-focused requirements and compliance standards while collaborating with federal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
As a Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading product strategy and roadmap development aligned with federal security requirements and market opportunities.
- Gathering and synthesize requirements from government agencies and internal stakeholders to guide product development.
- Defining and tracking success metrics for new features from prototype through production deployment.
- Presenting platform vision and updates to senior leadership and government stakeholders with compelling clarity.
- Building partnerships across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams while maintaining effective communication channels.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 15 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or its equivalent.
- Possess experience supporting DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies in cleared environments.
- Have good understanding of federal compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP, FIPS 140-3, and NIST 800-53.
- Possess advanced technical knowledge in cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
- Have product management experience launching complex cloud/SaaS products.
- Have U.S. citizenship and active Secret security clearance (interim Secret may be considered).

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $145,300 - $301,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
