Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 5 years of relevant experience and a PhD Required Skills
* 12+ years’ experience in C/C++ development with user space client/server development on Linux/Unix.
* 10+ years’ experience with common Internet protocols (IP, TCP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, DNS)
* 10+ years’ experience with design and development of mission critical, high-availability systems.
* 3+ years’ experience with HTTP Caching, WAN Optimization, or Cryptography.
Desired Skills
* Proven ability to make solid, independent technical decisions for high performance, low resource server software
* Experience with a scripting language such as Perl or Python
* Understanding of Agile software methodology
* Knowledge of scalable and efficient data structures and data flows
* Passion to understand, learn, dissect and improve new technologies
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, results oriented team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
* Having prior technical or team leadership experience is highly desired
