Required Education and Experience:
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD or
* Equivalent professional experience
Required Skills:
* 6+ years of relevant industry experience in distributed systems
* 3+ years of experience working in large design efforts and coordinating with project teams
* 3+ years of experience with common Internet protocols (IP, TCP, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, DNS)
Desired Qualifications
* Master or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field with a focus on networking, distributed systems, system architecture, and/or security
* Broad breadth of knowledge in the areas of operating systems, security, and Internet systems
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
* Highly responsible, self-disciplined, motivational, creative and confident
* Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with highly scalable distributed systems and databases
* Experience with secure applications, network security architectures/libraries, and integrating with technologies such as GPG, SSL, SSH, PKI
* Experience with network systems in an enterprise environment
