This is a unique role where the Regional Sales Manager has primary sales accountably yet assumes the role of Japan Enterprise Leader to provide go-to-market leadership and strategy to the Japanese Enterprise Security team (sales, pre-sales, inside sales and product marketing).

The Enterprise Security business operates as a Sales Pursuit Team with deep domain knowledge of enterprises' digital business, network infrastructure, security and application access requirements. They collaborate with the wider Akamai team and channel partners to profile and generate sales opportunities. This role is hands on and leads from the front. To be successful, individuals will need to demonstrate a high level of leadership with both our customers and Akamai sales teams.

About The Team
Akamai's Enterprise Security Division is responsible for developing and selling Enterprise Security, Identity, Application Access and Threat Protection solutions. These solutions provide fast and reliable enterprise application access and help mitigate endpoint malware and phishing attempts to help provide safer, easier, and faster security experience. 

Ultimately, our goal is to secure, protect and accelerate all Enterprise communications as a cloud gateway service. The division consists of product management, engineering, sales and technical pre-sales, product marketing, business development, support, and works closely with several other groups within Akamai and our external partners.

Required Skills and Experience

*10+ years of direct sales experience
*C level access and engagement
*Building a channel strategy
*Leading within a matrixed organization
*Excellent communication and presentation skills

*Leadership - Charisma, energy and finesse to be a leader in driving the Enterprise Security agenda internally and externally.
*Entrepreneurship - Adaptable, creative and resourceful, with a desire to operate in a start-up, undefined and matrix mode.
*Enterprise Domain Expertise - Infrastructure, applications, networking or security background(s) in solution selling to senior executives.
