About the Job

Akamai is currently seeking a Business Operations Analyst II to join our growing Central Sales Operations team. The Central Sales Ops team is a cross-divisional business operations function that operationalizes business architecture through design, definition, and governance of policies, process and business capabilities necessary to support our global go-to-market teams.

This role will focus on transformational technology investments and business as usual change requests including use cases and requirements gathering from a diverse set of sales and other functional stakeholders, building ROI/business value proposition for investment and facilitating implementation and adoption of process and tool sets.

As a Business Operations Analyst II, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the overall Sales Operations strategy and collaborate with the team to translate that strategy into process and technology investment
  • Establishing use cases and requirements for sales toolset – ensure use cases and requirements align with overall vision
  • Managing intake process for requests from user groups including evaluation of business needs, requirements gathering and working with IT partners to design solutions
  • Build and recommend process changes for technology and/or capability adoption
  • Collaborate and partner with IT, Enterprise Security and Sales teams to vet and onboard new tools
  • Work across teams for implementation, adoption and ongoing optimization of tool roll out
  • Find additional efficiencies, optimization areas and innovation points across the existing tool set
  • Develop operational reports to measure the success of various initiatives
  • Support user groups to drive adoption and effective use of sales tool set

 

About the Team

The Central Sales Ops team is a cross-divisional business operations function that operationalizes business architecture through design, definition, and governance of policies, process and business capabilities necessary to support our global go-to-market teams.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/BA Degree and 5 years of experience or Advanced Degree and 3 years of experience
  • 3+ years of operational and analytical experience

Required Skills

  • Ability to harness changing integration abilities among digital tools/platforms to maximize user experience
  • Proficient with business process, operations, and metric definition best practices
  • Knowledge of and experience with sales, marketing and other enterprise tools (i.e. SFDC, Anaplan)

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies in a diverse corporate and client environment
  • Ability to operate and innovate in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment to drive for results
  • Detail and action-oriented self-starter
  • Focus on internal stakeholders while balancing optimal user experience and ability to find win-win solutions
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task in an unstructured work environment
