Security Operations Center Specialist
Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
* 1yr experience in a customer support, help desk or call center role
* 1yr experience in an information security based role
Desired Skills
* Two network or systems administration certifications
* Working knowledge of network protocols & topologies, with concentration in internet communications & web technologies
* Be ready to come to a place where you are free to innovate, collaborate and shape how the world lives, works and plays
* Packet ninjas are welcome
* Working knowledge of tcpdump, tshark, or Wireshark traffic analyzing tools like a junior scientist
* Do you know what OWASP is?
* Familiar with stopping evil in its tracks with IDS/IPS, WAF, and other basic firewall security concepts
* CEH, CCNA, CCNP, RHCT, Linux+ or any GIAC certification
* SQUID is not something used for bait.
* Be highly analytical and have the ability to quickly identify, replicate & resolve customer reported issues
* Kung-fu knowledge of various security packages, DoS & DDoS attack types & an awareness of the white hat/black hat/grey hat communities and tools used by its members
* Knowledge of Akamai’s DNA
