Security Operations Center Specialist II - Weekend Shift
Basic Qualifications
*2+ years of
customer facing experience in creating Akamai Platform bases solutions
(Web) OR Web-Application Security
*3+ years of
Customer facing experience on one or more among the following three domains and
zeal to learn the rest:
- Akamai Web Platform:
- Design Akamai Metadata based delivery
(Web) configurations for large enterprises – with complete understanding
of Akamai platform features
- Architect delivery solutions using
Akamai Web products
- Akamai platform log analysis
- Core Networking
- Troubleshooting with deep packet
inspection (extensive use of tcpdump or wireshark)
- Expert on core networking protocols,
IPSEC, VPN, BGP and very deep understanding of OSI components.
- Support or troubleshooting experience
with Network security products
- Web-application security,
- Customer facing pen testing
- Web application designing and security
* Excellent
large enterprise level customer handing and professional consulting skills
* CCNP or 3
years equivalent experience in network troubleshooting (subnetting, network
tools, etc.)
* Working
knowledge of network protocols & topologies, with concentration in
internet-web communications
* Technical
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 4 years equivalent
experience in Information Technology
Desired Qualifications
* Working
knowledge of network routing and network troubleshooting
* Knowledge
of various security threats, web-application and DDoS attack types
* Working
knowledge of tcpdump and Wireshark traffic analyzing tools
* Ability to
navigate bash and administer a linux system
*
Perl/PHP/Python experience a huge plus
*
CEH,CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, RHCT, Linux+ or any GIAC certifications is a plus
* Ability to
work in a fast paced, team environment without unnecessarily increasing stress
levels
* Demonstrate
a high level of attention to detail
* Ability to
handle contention and potential conflict situations with clients professionally
* To
contribute and participate in a continuous improvement cycle
* To be
motivated to take advantage of all training opportunities and gain the
appropriate qualification
