Senior C Low-Level Engineer - Remote

Join the Kernel Team!

You will spend most time developing our agent's netfilter-based kernel module for Linux and WFP-based kernel-mode driver for Windows. The driver is written in C, and the tests for it are written in C and Python.

In this role you will be:

• Enforcing the highest standards for code quality and stability, including code review and several kinds of automated tests.
• Optimizing a lot of emphasis on performance, hooking single packets, which is in the nanosecond scale, requires performance-boosting projects whenever our customers' demands scale up.
• Researching what is possible and how, by poring over the Linux kernel source code.
• Reading the Windows kernel documentation through and through (and reverse-engineering Windows whenever the documentation is missing or lying).
• Debugging the toughest and most customer-critical bugs.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 5 years experience in system programming in C.
• Experience in the low-level / OS internals of either Windows or Linux.
• Experience in networking, especially layers 3-7: From theoretical understanding of TCP/IP to practical development with sockets.
• Experience in debugging complex problems in low-level / OS internals code.
