Our Professional Services team supports some of the world’s major organizations to help make the internet work for them by successfully integrating their web and streaming applications onto our platform. As a customer-facing team for media, publishing, gaming, and broadcasting customers we provide exceptional support designing and building quality solutions for internet distributed applications that the public interacts with daily.

As an Senior Engagement Manager - Gaming & Media, you will be responsible for:

  • Being a trusted advisor and owning technical program management while maximizing Akamai's platform value for the customer
  • Being the central contact point for the customer and cross-functional teams to encourage team and account growth
  • Being a technical consultant, helping to achieve the customer's long-term vision for high-quality media and web experiences
  • Partnering closely with direct sales to educate customers on Akamai's services and build strategic solutions
  • Collaborating with partner teams to streamline service delivery for customers and to ensure team success and efficiency

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or its equivalent
  • Demonstrate experience with account management, customer success, or consulting services in a technical environment
  • Have experience of managing and delivering technical customer projects successfully
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers
  • Have knowledge of web performance, web security, application analytics, including technologies such as HTTP, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP
  • Have a basic understanding of development and web infrastructure operations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of online streaming and video game platforms
