Senior Lead Applications Developer (Full Stack)

Required Education and Experience
- 8yrs of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering, or
- 6yrs of relevant experience and a Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of at least one web programming language such as PHP, Python, NodeJS or Ruby.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one popular web application framework, Laravel, Django, Rails etc.
- Working knowledge of JSON-based REST APIs.
- Data Science / Statistics Knowledge
- Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux command line environment, exposure to tools such as Vim, Emacs etc.
- Significant experience with Relational Database Systems such as MySQL. Good knowledge of SQL, and database performance tuning
- Good experience using cloud-based web application hosting services such as AWS, Azure etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating and collaborating across departments.
- Willingness to learn new programming techniques, technologies, and skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot software bugs in a proficient and timely manner.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Web Performance best practices and pitfalls - knowledge of testing platforms such as Web Page Test is a plus
- Exposure to non-relational databases.
- Web Security knowledge, particularly knowledge of Web Application Attacks: SQL injection, Remote File Include, etc.
- Some experience programming analytics applications and dashboards
- Exposure to well-known web-based charting libraries, like High Charts, D3 or Google Charts.
- Knowledge of Data Visualization Best Practices
