Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD
Required Skills
•6+ years of experience administering UNIX-based operating systems over a TCP/IP network.
•3+ years of SQL and developing complex queries to extract data from multiple data sources.
•3+ years of network protocols and implementations (DNS, NTP, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, ICMP, LDAP).
Desired Skills
•Advanced technical skills in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
•Solid oral/written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
•High level of attention to detail.
•Advanced programming skills in Perl, Python and/or shell scripting for UNIX-based operating systems.
•Comprehension of SSL/TLS protocol mechanics and cryptographic concepts.
•Thorough grasp of distributed systems, network routing, and Internet principles.
•Demonstrated understanding of emerging methods and tools for data collection and rapid flexible analysis.
Is a Security Clearance Required: Yes – To be eligible for consideration for this position, a current Top Secret clearance is required. Candidates with a current Secret Clearance who may be eligible for Top Secret Clearance are also suitable for consideration.
