About the Job


Alliance Sales Executives are responsible for the strategic sales of Akamai services in partnership with AT&T client executives. You will be responsible for working closely with AT&T sales executives in multiple industry verticals, creating a business plan for success that includes pipeline development, business development, strategic selling, and closing new business and revenue opportunities. This job requires a highly experienced and driven sales executive with strong technical acumen, ability to develop deep product knowledge, excellent customer presentation, and business development skills. This Alliance Sales Executive must be highly motivated to take on new challenges in a high visibility, high growth team environment.

Responsibilities


* Ownership of revenue plan, in partnership with AT&T, to grow revenues in existing customer base by identifying and selling additional services.
* Identify, develop and close new business at prospective Akamai customers.
* Deliver joint value proposition through in-person meetings, conference calls, sales activities, trainings, and other events.
* Coordinate/collaborate with AT&T and Akamai sales executives on all opportunities.
* Drive the development and coordination of short and long-range channel sales strategies to assure incremental revenue growth.
* Champion and maintain a superior relationship at the executive level with the channel and Akamai’s field sales teams.


About the Team


AT&T combines Akamai's industry leading content delivery platform with its world-renowned IP network to deliver a suite of global acceleration and security solutions that are jointly marketed, managed and supported by the two companies. With high levels of executive visibility across both organizations, this team is collectively responsible for the growth and success of the AT&T and Akamai Strategic Alliance. This high growth team sells and supports white-labeled Akamai services into AT&T’s prospective and existing customer base.



Required Education and Experience


* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical discipline or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical discipline


Desired Experience


* 8+ years of experience with direct or indirect/Channel sales of Internet, Network, Security, and Web application services and products.
* 5+ years of experience with channels sales management and/or business development in the SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS space. Experience with cloud technology, security, and telecommunications.
* 5+ years of business development experience with large, global Enterprise partners.
* Successful sales track record and quota achievement in both direct and indirect sales role.
