Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
• 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent or
• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in CS or equivalent
Required Skills
● 5+ years of software architecture and design experience.
● 4+ years of experience working with large scale distributed software systems (i.e. “the cloud”).
● 4+ years of experience in web based products.
● 2+ years in a role where customer interaction was required.
● 2+ years in a technical leadership, management, or business oriented role.
Desired Skills
● Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
● Understanding and proficiency with architectural design patterns, and the agile method(s).
● Knowledge of standard and repeatable software engineering practices.
● Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Databases, Computer & Network Security, Big Data Systems.
● Ability to create TCO/ROI model, converse with business, technical and developer audiences.
● Strong written and verbal communication and consensus-building skills.
● Strong critical and analytical thinking skills sufficient to solve complex design problems and ongoing issues.
● Highly responsible, self-disciplined, motivated, creative, and confident.
● Understanding of cloud native development patterns (micro-services, statelessness, service registry, service discovery, etc.)
● Knowledge of public cloud (i.e. Azure, AWS) Infra, Containers, Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, DevOps, and Linux.
● Experience with Java, Javascript and Python programming languages.
