Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or its equivalent or
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* 5 years of relevant experience and a PhD
Required Skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (MBA desired)
* 5+ years prior experience as a product manager for a product sold into the Enterprise IT market in one of the following areas or similar: Remote Access, Cloud security, Identity management, Networking, Firewall, Application Delivery Controllers, Infrastructure as a Service solutions
Desired Skills
* Ability to engage in deep technical conversations with development engineers
* Solid verbal and written communications skills and ability to translate technical features into business benefits
* Ability to influence outcomes and defend your professional opinions to others particularly when you are in the minority
* Prior experience with agile software development
* Experience managing cloud services sold to enterprise customers
* Understanding of enterprise security best practices and technologies.
* Situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations.
* Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment with multiple remote teams
* Desire for on-going challenges and interest in continuously learning about new business practices and technologies.
* Passion and vision around current trends and market evolution in Enterprise IT
* Familiarity with Akamai products and services
