Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Distributed Platform

Qualifications
 
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or its equivalent or
* 3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or
* Relevant experience and a PhD
 
Required Skills
* 5+ years of experience developing or testing network software applications
* 3+ years of experience developing automation in one or more of the following languages: Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell Scripting, Java or C++
* 3+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environment

* 3+ years of experience in IaaS adoption or private cloud

 
Desired Skills
* Experience with Content Distribution Networks
* Experience in IaaS adoption in a non-virtualized legacy environment
* Data center utilization monitoring and COGs modeling
* Linux host system hypervisors including KVM
* LXC based frameworks
* Linux kernel development and/or performance tuning
* Designing, implementing and deploying continuous build/deployment frameworks
* Site reliability engineering and/or work related including service performance
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Experience with Internet security, firewalls, and encryption technologies
* Experience with testing very large scale, distributed systems
* Familiarity with test tools and continuous integration systems, such as Jenkins
* Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail
* Willingness and flexibility to switch between multiple high priority assignments
