Responsibilities:
• Provide research support to Akamai’s Bot Manager
• Gather and analyze data to provide strong intelligence and uncover emerging threat trends of malicious and fraudulent activity;
• Identify and fingerprint automation frameworks, scrapers, credential abusers and other malicious tools
• Take part in exploratory research within the web security domain
Required Skills and Basic Qualifications:
• Committed to excellence, highly self-motivated, curios and innovative
• Experienced security related data analysis, anomaly detection and fraud related analysis
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, cross-browser compatibility, authentication schemes (e.g. OAuth, OpenID), general web functions and standards.
• Experience with web automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium WebDriver, puppeteer etc..) as well as bypassing detections aimed at stopping them.
• Programming skills in web-related and scripting languages (Python, javascript, PHP, etc.)
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
