Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or its equivalent or
* 4 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or
* Relevant experience and a PhD in computer science/engineering Required Skills
* 4+ years experience in Perl or Python on Linux/UNIX.
* 2+ years app development including SQL/database maintenance.
Desired Skills
* Strong understanding of Operating System concepts (such paging, devices, drivers, file systems, etc.)
* Linux kernel development and/or performance tuning.
* Linux host system hypervisors including KVM.
* LXC/LXD based container frameworks .
* Container support systems such as Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes.
* Data center utilization monitoring and COGs modeling
* Experience in IaaS adoption in a non-virtualized legacy environment.
* Experience with managing very large scale, distributed systems.
* Prior operations experience in public-facing cloud infrastructures
* Data center utilization and cost modeling.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
