Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of coding experience with Java/Python/Scala. If Java is not your main language: willingness to learn and write in Java.
• 1+ years of experience with implementations around Big Data systems, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• 1+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience in building test automation and test frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills, while demonstrated independence.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
What might be a plus:
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems, or related discipline.
• Experience with cloud-based deployment techniques (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Teraform, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Willingness and flexibility to switch between multiple high priority assignments.
• Highly driven, positive attitude, self-motivated and a team player.
• Experience in working with data researchers.
