Senior Software Engineer

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or
* 3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
* Relevant experience and a PhD

Required Skills

* Minimum of 5 years expertise with building scalable servers or distributed systems.
* Minimum of 3 years experience with programming in C/C++, Java, Python or Go
* Minimum of 3 years development experience on Linux/Unix platforms, including SCM systems and GNU make.

Desired Skills
● MS or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
● Self-motivated, highly responsible, able to work with little supervision.
● Experience building scalable, production-grade distributed systems.
● Experience with databases, SQL, and/or distributed key-value storage solutions.
● Experience with orchestration, virtualization, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.

● Familiarity with common Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
