Senior Software Engineer II

Required Education and Experience:

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or its equivalent or

* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science or

* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD in Computer Science

Required Skills:

* 8+ years’ experience with 1 or more of the following languages—C/C++, Java, Python, Perl

* 4+ years’ experience with commercial IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, or Heroku

* 4+ years’ experience with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, such as HashiCorp Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Red Hat Ansible

* 8+ years’ experience working on Linux/Unix platforms

Desired Skills:

* Experience building scalable servers or distributed systems.

* Understanding of data warehousing and cloud-based Big Data systems.

* Deep understanding of HTTP, TLS, and DNS.

* Highly responsible, self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision.

* Extensive experience working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment.

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

* Eligible to obtain a security clearance.
