Required Education and Experience: 
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or its equivalent or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in computer science or its equivalent
* 3 years of relevant experience and a PhD in computer science or its equivalent

Required Skills:
* Minimum of 8 years general programming (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Perl, Java, C/C++, etc...)
* Minimum of 5 years of Ruby on Rails experience including unit testing/test driven development (Rails 4/5/6, Ruby 2.5/2.6), preferably on Linux
* Minimum of 3 years Rails/web application administration (Apache/Nginx, Puma/Passenger/Thin) and 
Unix shell scripting
* Minimum of 4 years with PostgreSQL or equivalent database
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Agile, rapid release cycle with Git or an equivalent 
source control system

Desired Skills
* Eligible to obtain a security clearance 
* Understanding of authentication/authorization concepts, technologies and protocols 
* Developing and supporting SaaS applications experience
* Agile project management tools (JIRA, Pivotal Tracker, etc.)
* Proficient knowledge of a SDLC process
* Linux system administration experience
* JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, etc...)
* Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, TravisCI, or similar
* Rails testing frameworks (i.e., Minitest, Rspec, Capybara, Cucumber, etc...)
* Contribution to open-source software community in forms of gems, plug-ins, publications, or articles
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
