Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
● 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or
● 4 years relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
● Equivalent professional experience
Required Skills
● At least 5 years development experience in JavaScript.
● At least 5 years experience with command-line utilities such as bash, grep, ssh, powershell, etc.
● At least 5 years experience with version control systems such as svn, mercurial, git, etc. (we use git)
● A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing cloud-based architectures
● A minimum of 5 years working with distributed databases
● A minimum of 5 years of experience building SOAP and/or REST web services
● A minimum of 5 years of experience / hands on with enterprise-level SaaS software concepts including services-oriented architecture, high availability, scalability, maintainability, concurrency, and distributed computing
Desired Skills
● Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
● Experience building scalable applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
● Experience using JIRA for issue tracking
● Experience with Agile software methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban
● Familiarity with the OpenID and OAuth specifications
● Familiarity with software testing concepts including unit testing, functional testing, regression testing, continuous integration testing, and performance testing
