Senior System Operations Engineer - Distributed Platform

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or its equivalent or
* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or
* relevant experience and a PhD in computer science/engineering

Required Skills

* 5+ years of experience years of experience in operations or system administration

* 5+ years of experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, shell)

* 5+ years of experience with internet protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SSL

* 5+ years of experience with Unix/Linux systems

* 2+ years of experience networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)

*2+ years of experience working with SQL

Desired Skills

* Experience with the operation of internet-scale systems

* The ability to apply technical knowledge toward analyzing, diagnosing and resolving issues in a large complex production environment

* Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple teams across multiple sites

* Self-motivated with a consistent drive towards results
