Partner with the best

In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in reliability, observability, and automation to ensure top-tier performance and uptime. You'll create tools to automate the deployment, monitoring and management of the platform. You'll work with open-source technologies as well as Akamai developed tools to maintain the reliability of the computing infrastructure.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Native, you will be responsible for:

• Automating deployment workflows with shell/python and Saltstack/Argo CD
• Collaborating on the roadmap for critical enterprise features expected from a public managed Kubernetes platform.
• Deploying Infrastructure As Code using terraform
• Developing monitoring solutions based on Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards.
• Defining reliability requirements and performance metrics for Akamai's cloud computing infrastructure.
• Collaborating in CI/CD pipeline ensuring a safe and reliable release cycle.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Have 5+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar with a focus on cloud-native technologies.
• Have proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Shell).
• Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Github Actions workflow, GitLab CI/CD).
• Have familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Have exellent communication and collaboration abilities.
