Software Engineer

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet the following education and experience requirement:
* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent

Required Skills
* 2+ years of web development experience using Java/Scala
* 1+ year of experience developing database-backed applications using Oracle or similar database
* 1+ year of experience deploying and supporting applications on Linux or UNIX based operating systems
* 1+ year of experience working with Internet protocols and concepts such as TCP/IP, SSL / TLS, HTTP, DNS

1+ year of experience working with software development practices such as source control, code reviews, unit testing and debugging

Desired Skills
* Experience with Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, JavaScript, Akka, Play framework

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, small-team environment
* Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python or Unix Shell Scripts
* Passion to understand, learn, and evaluate new technologies
* Expertise in secure software design and architecture
* Familiarity with software security weakness, vulnerability and secure code review
* Familiarity with software attack and exploitation techniques
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
