Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or
* Relevant experience and a Master’s degree or PhD or
* Relevant professional experience
Required Skills
* 2+ years of experience with Go and Python
* 2+ years of experience with command-line utilities such as bash, grep, ssh, etc.
* 2+ years of experience with version control systems such as svn, mercurial, git, etc. (we use git)
* 2+ years of experience implementing cloud-based architectures and working with distributed databases
* 2+ years of experience building SOAP and/or REST Web Services
Desired Skills
* Experience building scalable applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Experience using JIRA for issue tracking
* Experience with Agile software methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban
* Familiarity with the OpenID and OAuth specifications
* Familiarity with software testing concepts including unit testing, functional testing, regression testing, continuous integration testing, and performance testing
* Experience with object-oriented and functional programming concepts
* Software development experience with Ruby, JavaScript and/or Scala
* Hands-on experience with enterprise-level SaaS software concepts including services-oriented architecture, high availability, scalability, maintainability, concurrency, and distributed computing
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills
