Software Engineer - Protocol Optimization

Required Education and Experience
* 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or
* Masters degree or PhD

Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of work experience in engineering or related field.
* 2+ years of work experience with network configuration and software development in a Linux environment.
* 2+ years of work experience with at least one the following languages: C/C++, Bash, SQL, Perl, or Python. 
* 2+ years of experience with software control systems such as GIT, Perforce or SVN.

Desired Qualifications
* Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Experience with SQL and/or Big Data analysis (Hadoop, Hive, etc). A statistical background is a plus.
* Familiarity with computer networks.
* C and Linux kernel programming experience.
* Self-motivated, communicates well, and learns quickly.
