Powered by Akamai's global Intelligent Edge Platform, Enterprise Threat Protector proactively identifies, blocks, and mitigates targeted threats. It mitigates ransomware, phishing, DNS data exfiltration and advanced zero-day attacks and helps segment the network.

Partner with the best

As Senior Software Engineer you'll develop software that runs on some of the largest distributed systems. Collaborating with Engineering, Development, Product Management and other teams to design and build Akamai's Enterprise Security products. Deal with a lot of exciting tasks that keeps the Engineer with in you alert and awake.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, Developing, integrating and validating new capabilities, features, enhancements on the Akamai Edge and VM based products
• Understanding of the legacy code and management systems and take ownership of various modules
• Collaborating across engineering teams and other stakeholders to integrate and deliver product on time
• Coaching and mentoring junior folks in the team

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5+ years' experience with systems development background and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or it's equivalent
• Be good at coding in C and familiar with C++/GoLang/Python on Unix/Linux Operating system
• Have experience in High/Low level Design, writing complex technical documents, and to drive design review process
• Be expertise in Networking, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL-TLS, DNS
• Have experience in using static and dynamic analysis tools like Coverity, valgrind, etc.
